THE SIXTY-FIFTH ART

GENRE: Romantic Comedy
RATING: PG-13

ABOUT THE FILM

The Kamasutra is one of the world’s second most famous books, yet the least understood. This film is a comedic outlet for that bottled up curiosity. At a deeper level, the film is a coming of age story of a young woman who must choose between freedom and much needed fortune.

LOGLINE

A young Duchess-to-be secretly learns the Kamasutra from an Indian Brahmin to seduce an affluent Casanova. As the lessons progress, the only thing more tangled than their bodies are their growing feelings for each other.

WHY THE SIXTY-FIFTH ART?

Slumdog Millionaire
Monsoon Wedding
Bend It Like Beckham
Namesake

All these films have been able to evoke nostalgia among the viewers for the mystique of India. So does “The Sixty-Fifth Art”. Also, Kamasutra is a very strong brand that lends itself to a compelling marketing campaign.
